Last seperation sign deleted if field is empty

Hi Frank,

I have started working with the CSV anonymization tool in order to anonymize multiple files.
in order to do this I created the script you can find in the attachment.

The attached AnonymizeCSV.exe in the no headers issue solves the issue when there are no headers present in the file, however I encountered an other issue.

When anonymizing CSV files where the last field (after the separator) is empty, the separator is deleted :(

Can you help me to solve this issue?

Kind regards,

Evelien van Blitterswijk

HI evelien,

I'll have a look at it but i thought I already resolved that issue. I'll have a look at it

Yep this was a duplicate issue (see [workitem:Issue 3|3]). I've made an intermediate release 0.2 where the issue is fixed

Hi Frank,

When I use AnonymizeCSV.exe encluded in the issue you mention the seperation signs are still deleted unfortunately.

The file I am trying to anonymize is a CSV, obviously, with hashes as seperator, no tekst indicators and no header.

Can you have an other look and see if you find the same as I do?

Hi Evelien,

can you please send me:
  • Your call to the anononymizeCSV.exe (please no vbs script)
  • a testfile with which to reproduce the error
  • your AnonymizeCSV.txt
Also, Have you tried the version of release 0.2? I specifically tested this issue before making the release.

Kind regards,

Hi Frank,

The 0.2 indeed fixes the issue :) I think I used the wrong AnonymizeCSV.exe.

Thanks for your help!
